The distinguishing feature of the Destin is the aluminum protective hood. This hood covers the top of the awnings roller tube and the sides of the awning where the operational components are. This protective hood protects the components and prevents the fabric from being exposed to harsh elements such as sun light and flying debris. The awning's structure includes 100% acrylic fabric, a heavy-duty steel and aluminum white powder-coated frame, manual and motorized retraction options, dual cabled arms, and a 10 inch removable valance. The awning ships fully assembled requiring only the installation of wall brackets and sliding the awning into the brackets. Mounting this awning is simple with our step-by-step manual for professional or DIY(Do-It-Yourself) installers. The awning may be installed on many different surfaces such as brick, stucco, wood, stone and others. There are a variety of sizes and colors to choose from at reasonable prices.
